This presentation provides general introduction of different science diplomacy aspects. Before entering into the discussion of what science diplomacy is, it might be worth dealing first with a quick glance at the state of the world today and the challenges that both science and diplomacy are coping with. This will set the scene to focus on the interactive space that science diplomacy actually represents. After that the presentation describes what is science diplomacy, who are the science diplomacy stakeholders, what kind of local, national and regional strategies are in place etc.
