The S4D4C project aimed to support the European Science Diplomacy community with the content, knowledge and skills necessary to successfully navigate the Science Diplomacy interface in Europe and beyond. To this end, S4D4C was developing a number of capacity development activities (e.g. in-person intensive training workshops, open training materials, webinars, online modules) – for an overview please see here: https://www.s4d4c.eu/trainings/
The pages below provide a sample of selected training materials, including recommendations on how to use them – so that you can use them for your own science diplomacy seminar. Most materials are available under the open-source license CC-BY (for more information, please see https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/), few of them are limited only to non-commercial use, so in case you want to use them in for-profit activities, check carefully the applicable license.
The compilation is organised around four objectives:
Their combination accounts for an efficient and lasting training experience. We recommend making use of the material available in all four sections and combining it for an interactive and productive seminar. Under each objective, you will find a set of different materials and ideas and advice on how to best put them into practice. Our toolkit for trainers provides a more systematic view on this, so please see https://www.s4d4c.eu/toolkit-for-trainers/
Furthermore, we made special efforts to develop and include several infographics, also available for re-use. Our related report (D5.4 Infographics_update_final) summarises the approach to infographics and provides you with additional recommendations.
Alternatively, you can make use of our filter function below to retrieve material per group size, topics, expertise level etc.
As mentioned above, you are free to share and adapt the materials for any purpose with adequate attribution and for non-commercial use. The majority of the materials is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC-BY). Please check carefully each material’s licence – there are some exceptions (e.g. CC-BY-NC or CC-BY-ND).
We are happy if you drop us a line in case you re-use any of the material to learn about their dissemination: contact@s4d4c.eu.
