In May 2020 we launched an online course on European science diplomacy. Almost 5,000 students have registered – this surpasses our expectations. Based on the feedback of the course participants and aiming to seize the moment and build a science diplomacy community, the S4D4C team decided to complement the online course with a series of six live webinars, thematically linked to the different modules of the S4D4C online course.
These online events took place each first and third Thursday of a month, between October and December 2020. These webinars contained an exchange with the authors of the modules, experts in science diplomacy, and trainees of our S4D4C online course as well as stakeholders involved and interested in the different topics. The focus was on interactivity, a free exchange of views and discussions and we thus decided not to record them. At the end of each webinar, we developed a short event report.
The webinars offered an opportunity to structure your learning by taking two modules per month, each time finishing with an interactive webinar, but the online course is online also beyond 2020 – you can register for it here.
